The new foreign Minister of Poland, held telephone talks with Klimkin

The newly appointed head of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Poland Jacek Czaputowicz 10 Jan held telephone talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Pavel Klimkin. This was reported by the press service of the Polish dipvedomstva.

Czaputowicz expressed the hope that «the problematic historical issues in relations between Poland and Ukraine will be resolved as soon as possible».

Also, the foreign Minister of Poland confirmed Poland’s commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and stressed that Warsaw will continue to support European aspirations of Kiev.

His first phone conversation to the post of Minister of Czaputowicz held on 9 January with the foreign Minister of Hungary Peter Siarto.

January 9 Czaputowicz replaced on a post of the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski, who said that the European integration of Ukraine depends on the resolution of a number of historical issues.

10 Jan Klimkin said that in the near future to meet with the new foreign Minister of Poland.
