The Ministry of justice of Ukraine asked the court to recover UAH 705 million and to seize the property of the company, which belongs to Rosneft

The Ministry of justice of Ukraine appealed to the Economic court of Lugansk region with a request to collect from the company «LINIK» (Lisichansk refinery), the owner of which is Russian state Corporation «Rosneft», 705 million. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of justice Sergiy Shklyar at a press conference in Kiev on 23 January, reports the correspondent of the edition «GORDON».

According to him, the money should be paid as regression has been lost by Ukraine in the European court of human rights (ECHR) claim of the company «Agrocomplex».

«The lawsuit arose from the execution of the ECHR decision, which had already effected payment of €27 million from the state budget. Now the amount is with interest 705 million. The lawsuit has already been filed. Yesterday, the first preparatory meeting on the case adjourned until February 12. We had filed the petition, including the imposition of arrest on property of the defendant,» said Shkliar.

As writes «Interfax-Ukraine», the ECHR in 2011 found the company «Agrocomplex» of the victim in a lawsuit for overdue debt of the Lysychansk oil refinery, and two years later decided to pay «AGROKOMPLEX» €27 million of fair compensation. This amount was transferred from the state budget designated by the court a two-year term.
