The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic: the Annexation of Crimea is a serious violation of international law

Czech Republic does not recognize the annexation of Crimea by Russia. This was during a telephone conversation with Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin on January 16 said his Czech counterpart Martin Stropnicky, the press service of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

«We believe the illegal annexation of the Crimea is a serious violation of international law,» said Stropnicky.

He discussed with the EU the situation in the East of Ukraine and reforms in the country. Stropnicky said that the Czech Republic is ready to continue support of the Ukrainian reforms, especially in education.

Also, as reported in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Stropnicky welcomed the stabilization of the Ukrainian economy, which, according to him, the interesting Czech businessmen and investors.

In turn, Klimkin said on Twitter that he had invited the Czech counterpart to visit Ukraine.

«Talked with a Czech colleague Stropnicky. As a former Minister of defence, Martin is well aware of the threat today, Europe is Russia. Invited him to visit Ukraine in the nearest future», – wrote the head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry.
