The mayor of Ternopol Sergey Nadal called on the Lviv city Council to pick up the trash, dumped without a permit near Malashevsky landfills, where wastes are taken from Ternopil.
As the correspondent of UNIAN, this was stated in the appeal, signed by Nadal, published on the official website of the city Council.
The document says that in the night from 21 to 22 November, Malashevsky dump found garbage dumped near the landfill.
«In the preliminary examination of debris discovered that the waste has «Lviv» origin. None of the city councils of Lviv region, Lviv, no utility or private enterprise has not officially appealed to the Ternopil city Council with a request to take the garbage Lviv to Ternopil polygons. It is unacceptable that workers who collect Lviv garbage on their garbage trucks «bandits», under the cover of night, dumped the trash in the next area is actually «under the fences of the people,» the statement says.
The mayor also stressed that such actions do not allow you to «build good neighborly and civilized relations between our cities».
Also the appeal contained the phrase «We, the deputies of the city Council of Ternopil, officially address our Lviv colleagues to immediately take out the trash, apologize to the villagers Malashivtsi for the damage caused and to pay appropriate compensation».
However, as wrote on his page in Facebook Deputy of the city Council Nazar Zelinka, the MPs were not informed about this treatment and didn’t sign it.
As the head of the regional police Department Alexander Mantis, upon detection of debris, which supposedly has the origin of Lviv, near Malashevsky dumps is checked.
According to him, the audit was initiated after receiving information about the incident by phone from the mayor of Ternopil.
«Numbers of the car that dumped the garbage, workers of a dump is not fixed, accordingly, the car we apprehend,» said the Mantis.
As reported, Lviv continues the tense situation with the export of waste due to the closure of the landfill Gribovichi. The mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovy has repeatedly appealed for help to other regions of the country, but most of them are not able to accept additional amounts of waste due to the technical condition of the landfills. According to Lviv city Council, the city produces daily 650-700 tons of debris.
