To the West is a catastrophic mistake the decision on lifting sanctions against the Russian Federation without the execution by Moscow of its obligations under the Minsk process.
This was stated by Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze to journalists on Saturday, January 28, in Kiev, transfers «Interfax-Ukraine».
«We already see that the Russian Federation is in some countries quite successfully undermines both the public opinion and populist politicians and irresponsible who want to see first and foremost their ratings today, and I don’t think three steps ahead, do not understand the threat posed by Russia, not purely for Ukraine but for the region and for the world. If it is not stopped by common efforts of both Europe and other countries, it will untie the hands of Russia», — said klympush-Tsintsadze.
Therefore, the Deputy Prime Minister hoped that the pragmatic understanding will win the desire to earn money on the lifting of sanctions with Russia.
She also noted that 2017 will be challenging, but that is no reason to «fold their arms and go with the flow».
«Every six months when I conducted the discussion in the European Union regarding the lifting of sanctions by the Russian Federation or nesrete sanctions, this process has never been easy. And for our diplomacy and our public organizations, and MPs – we all had to join in this discussion. The factual material that we have cited concerning how Russia has not fulfilled its obligations under the Minsk, so I think it will be an extraordinary mistake, disastrous for the West, deciding that it is possible to lift the sanctions without Russia has fulfilled the conditions of the violation which was imposed the sanctions,» said klympush-Tsintsadze.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that the administration of the President of the United States Donald trump is considering easing sanctions against Russia imposed over its aggression in Ukraine.
The trump at a joint press conference with the head of the British government , Theresa may said that Washington still think it premature to talk about lifting sanctions against the Russian Federation.
The visiting Prime Minister Theresa may called on the us administration to improve relations with Russia , Vladimir Putin, but still wary of her. With Moscow it is possible to interact from a position of strength and the principle of «trust but verify», said Mae in a meeting of the leadership of the Republican party in Philadelphia.
