The king of Saudi Arabia is not going to abdicate in favor of his son — Bloomberg

Saudi Arabia’s king Salman is not going to hand over power to crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman. It is reported Bloomberg, citing a senior Saudi official.

The official assured that the departure of 81-year-old king from power excluded because Saudi kings usually stay in power, even when poor health prevents them from doing their work. He noted that king Fahd remained head of state until his death in 2005, although was seriously ill in the last few years.

According to officials, Salman has the «perfect» physical and mental abilities, and the rumors about the transfer of power are spread by people who «don’t understand the Royal customs and traditions in Saudi Arabia».

In June 2017, king Saud was appointed crown Prince his son Muhammad, dismissing from the post of his nephew Muhammad bin Nayef. The candidacy of Muhammad Ibn Salman supported by 31 of the 34 members of the allegiance Council. Muhammad Ibn Salman is the Minister of defence and responsible for the economy the government of Saudi Arabia.

In September a group of «Eurasia» stated the Royal Palace completes the transfer of power, and the Prince Muhammad already controls almost all the levers of government.
