At the meeting in the Chervonozavodsky district court of Kharkiv on the case concerning ex-the mayor of Slavyansk Nely Shtepy prosecutors said the withdrawal of the presiding judge , Viktor Yezhov.
About it reported in a press-service of Prosecutor’s office of the Kharkov area, transfers «Interfax-Ukraine».
«This is due to the fact that the state became aware of the criminal proceedings against Yezhov under part 1 of article 258-3 of UK of Ukraine (creation of terrorist group or organization), registered on SBU materials. After receiving information about the started investigation, the judge said Yezhov himself or herself» — said the press service.
In court the break is declared. Yezhov went to write a statement of withdrawal.
We will remind, on December 7, 2016 chervonozavodsky regional court of Kharkov extended the arrest of ex-mayor Sloviansk Neelie Shtepa until February 3, 2017. Shtepa was arrested on July 13, 2014. She’s accused of committing criminal offenses under part 3 of article 110 (encroachment on territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine that resulted in the death of people) and part 1 of article 258-3 (creation of terrorist group or organization) of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
In February 2016, judges in the case Shtepa was replaced: instead of fired for unlawful decisions against the Kharkov «euromayday» the Chairman of the jury Denis Chudovsky came translated from the Donetsk region Viktor Yezhov and ailing Marina Mindarie was replaced by judge Svetlana Salicy. Due to changes in the composition of the panel of judges decided to start the hearing Shtepa again.
