The Presidium of the Israeli Knesset adopted the draft resolution on recognizing the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people.

«Today the Presidium of the Knesset led by speaker Yuli Yoel Edelstein approved the draft resolution on recognizing the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people. To discuss the question MPs will be on the current plenary week. Put forward the theme of Deputy speaker of the Knesset, the Deputy from party «Likud» Nava Boker, «- said in the message.
Initiated the development of the resolution, the honorary Consul of Israel in Western region of Ukraine Oleg Vishnyakov.
«The fact that Israeli parliamentarians understand the need for the adoption of the resolution, makes our peoples closer. The Israelis are the only people who, as no one understands the tragedy of the Ukrainians, that a deliberate genocide, which was initiated by the Stalinist regime», — he said.
Israel could become 25 country recognizes the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
The Holodomor of 1932-1933 — the mass, deliberately organized by the Soviet authorities to the famine that led to millions of casualties in rural areas on the territory of the Ukrainian SSR (the lands of modern Ukraine, with the exception of the current seven Western regions, the Crimea and southern Bessarabia, which was not then part of the USSR), as well as the Kuban region, the vast majority of the population were Ukrainians.
The famine came as a result of planned confiscation of grain and all other foodstuffs from the peasants by representatives of the Soviet government that led to the murder of peasants to death in the vast scale, while the Soviet government had considerable stocks of grain in reserves and implement its export abroad.
The reasons for this mass crime never in the USSR were investigated and none of the authorities involved in the crime, not the punishment. For decades, mass murder of people by artificial famine, not only deliberately suppressed by the Soviet authorities — it was forbidden to mention.
In 2003, the Ukrainian Parliament has called, and in 2006 officially recognized the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people. 24 countries officially recognized the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
13 Jan 2010 the Kyiv court of Appeals recognized leaders of the Bolshevik totalitarian regime guilty of genocide in Ukraine in 1932-33.
The criminal case was initiated and investigated SBU upon the implementation of the famine-genocide in Ukraine in 1932-1933.
The court decision confirmed the findings of investigators of the security Service of Ukraine on organization of implementation in 1932-1933 on the territory of the USSR the leadership of the Bolshevik totalitarian regime: General Secretary of the Central Committee of the all-Union Communist party of Bolsheviks (CC CP(b)), Joseph Stalin (Dzhugashvili), a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU(b), the Chairman of the Council of people’s Commissars (USSR) Vyacheslav Molotov (Scriabin), secretaries of the Central Committee of the CPSU(b) Lazar Kaganovich and Pavel Postyshev, member of the Central Committee of the CPSU(b), the General Secretary of the Communist party of Bolsheviks of Ukraine (CP(b)U) Stanislav Kosior, member of the Central Committee of the CPSU(b), the Chairman of the Council of people’s Commissars of the Ukrainian SSR Vlas chubare and a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU(b), the second Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU(b) Mendel Khataevich — genocide of the Ukrainian national group, i.e. artificially creating conditions of life calculated to bring about its partial physical destruction.
According to the forensic scientific demographic examination in the course of a pretrial investigation by the Institute of demography and social research. After mV ptukha of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the result was a perfect genocide in Ukraine killed 3 million 941 thousand people.
The court stated that Stalin (Dzhugashvili), Molotov (Skriabin), Lazar Kaganovich, Postyshev, Kosior, Chubar and khatayevich committed the crime of genocide under part 1 of article 442 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (genocide), and closed the criminal case in connection with their deaths.
In November 2015 the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree «On measures in connection with Day of memory of victims of Holodomor», which aims to commemorate the memory of the victim of the genocide of the Ukrainian people – the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine committed by the totalitarian repressive Stalinist regime, and the famines of 1921-1922 and 1946-1947 in Ukraine.
