The international Federation of bobsleigh and skeleton allowed the IOC disqualified nine athletes of the Russian Federation to participate in competitions

The international Federation of bobsleigh and skeleton (IBSF) has allowed nine Russian athletes, the international Olympic Committee (IOC) disqualified for doping to participate in the competition. About it on December 1, reported the press service of the IBSF.

Organization came to the conclusion that there is no sufficient reason for dismissal bobbers Alexander Zubkov, Alexander Kasyanov, Ilvir Khuzina, Aleksei Pushkarev, as well as the two-seater Sergei Chudinov, Alexander Tretyakov, Elena Nikitina, Olga Potylitsina and Maria Orlova.

The Federation will make a final decision after receiving the motivation part of decisions of the IOC.

30 Nov removed bobsleigh and skeleton racers addressed an open letter to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

«We ask you to help us with the suspension from participation in all international competitions. Next week from December 5, we have to take part in the next stage of the world Cup,» – said athletes.

In October 2017, the international Olympic Committee announced that all 254 urine samples taken from Russian athletes during the Olympic games of 2014 in Sochi have been rejudged.

The total number of disciplinary proceedings opened by the Commission under the leadership of Denis Oswald, was 36. Reviewed 26 cases, annulled the results of 25 Russian athletes.

Only Russia has lost 11 awards and now ranks fourth in the medal standings (at the conclusion of the Olympics in Sochi, Russia was the first).

Due to the doping scandal with participation of Russian athletes in the winter Olympics in 2018, remains in question. The IOC will announce its decision on 5 December.
