The interior Ministry of Uruguay has joined the investigation into the supply of drugs from Argentina to Russia — media

The Ministry of internal Affairs of Uruguay is investigating the supply of drugs from Argentina to Russia. It is reported by local newspaper El Observador, citing sources.

The authorities of Uruguay believe that drugs could pass through diplomatic channels and in other countries, and drug trafficking passed through Uruguay. According to the newspaper, it said the defendants in the case – Ivan Bliznyuk and Alexander Chica. The record of their conversation is available to law enforcement officers.

As noted in the Ministry of internal Affairs of Uruguay, while there is no official confirmation that the route suitcases with the drugs passed through Moscow.

About the criminal case on the international drug trade, involving Russian diplomats, it became known on February 22. The investigation began in December 2016, when the Russian Ambassador in Argentina Victor koronelli found 12 suitcases with the drug in the building of the Embassy school.
