The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Ukraine Valentyna Danishevska in his speech on the occasion of the beginning of work of the court of 15 December stated that today the system of execution of court decisions is in the hands of the Executive branch of government, the correspondent of «GORDON».
«Today, the system of execution of court decisions is in the hands of the Executive branch of government… We need independence from other branches of government,» she said.
Daniszewski said that he looked forward to further reform the system of execution of court decisions to enhance public confidence in the courts.
She also expressed confidence that the new Supreme Court will be the first independent court in the country. According to her, the amendments to the Constitution and legislation ensure the independence of the judiciary from the influence of the President and Parliament.
«We see independence not only as a slogan but as a real rate… We will work hard to ensure that the independence of the court held not only on paper,» she added.
