The Greek Parliament ratified the Association Agreement EU-Ukraine

The Greek Parliament today, November 18, ratified the bill concerning the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. This was announced by the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin on Twitter.

«And here is another step forward: the Greek Parliament today ratified the bill on the Agreement on Association between Ukraine and the EU. ευχαριστίες!», — wrote Klimkin.

Until today, Greece was the only EU country that has not yet started the ratification of the Association Agreement.

We will remind, on March 21, 2014 Ukraine and the EU signed the political part of the Association Agreement, postponing the signing of its economic part, which includes the creation of a free trade area, until the election of a new President of Ukraine.

After the election of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the Association Agreement with the EU in full on 27 June 2014. 16 September 2014 the Verkhovna Rada and the European Parliament synchronously ratified the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.
