The GPU has published an infographic of pre-trial investigations of corruption cases

The General Prosecutor of Ukraine (GPU) has published an infographic of pre-trial investigations of corruption cases. Relevant information is available on the official website of the Prosecutor General.

On 6 February the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko met with representatives of the Ukrainian movement against political corruption «Under control», which cooperates with the GPU in question preventing, detecting and eradicating offences related to corruption, and corruption offenses.

«Today, 243 of information participants in the movement «Under control» we have confirmed 125″, — Lutsenko said, adding that 58 more informations are checked.

At the moment, available information, made 43 representations/letters to the authorities about establishing the causes and conditions of violations; compiled 32 of the Protocol on offences related to corruption; filed 10 lawsuits for damages, return of property in state ownership and termination of contracts; 21 case violations eliminated by the authorities.

«However, verified facts 75 in the course of criminal proceedings, in which 18 persons it is reported about suspicion, 14 cases were brought to court, the court made 3 of the sentence», — is spoken in the message.

Earlier, the international organization Transparency International reported that Ukraine’s level of corruption has caught up with Russia and Iran.
