The gpou extended the investigation against Yanukovych until the end of March

The Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine has extended until March 28, 2017 special pre-trial investigation against former President Viktor Yanukovych. This broadcast «112 Ukraine» on Friday evening, said his lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk.

«The investigation has been informed by the defence that the investigation period was extended through March 2017, up to 28 number,» he said.

Serdyuk also said that the revised notice of suspicion, which was not adopted by counsel Yanukovych on Friday, should be delivered on the territory of the Russian Federation.

«The Russian Federation has informed the GPU that her request for legal aid is under execution. Protection in all possible ways tries to speed up this query. From Viktor Yanukovych is expected to act on receipt of this suspicion. As soon as they are done, we will sign the notice of suspicion» — said Serdyuk.

As earlier reported, Prosecutor-General Yuriy Lutsenko said that the Prosecutor General’s office plans to complete pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings on treason Yanukovych in February 2017.
