The government of Ukraine is preparing a new decree on the reduction of natural gas consumption by household consumers, such as the previous decision reversed the court. This was announced by Vice Prime Minister Hennadiy Zubko during a government hour in the Parliament on Friday, reports «Interfax-Ukraine».
«The government annulled the order, which identified the excessive consumption of gas. Now preparing another resolution, consistent with the ministries to define them (standards) at the level that was approved is cancelled by a court decision», — said Deputy Prime Minister.
He said that together with the Ministry this process will be accelerated.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers in April 2015 has halved norms of consumption of gas for households without meters.
If earlier the ratio of gas consumption of households using only a gas stove when there is a Central hot water supply, was 6 cubic meters/month. one person, after reduction to 3 cubic meters For households with and without Central plate DHW rate has been reduced from 9.
Recently, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has set a new standard monthly consumption of gas in households not equipped with meters to 4.4 cubic metres per person as the regional gas supplying company through the courts canceled the government order, which the consumption rate of gas was set at 3 cubic meters. The corresponding solution is fixed by government decree of March 23, 2016.
As reported, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk at the government meeting on 23 March called illegal charging of gas supplying companies amounts for natural gas for households at a monthly rate of 6 cubic meters per person, and announced the government’s adoption of the new standards 4.4 per cubic meter.
In may 2015 the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has instructed the National Commission for regulation of electricity and utilities (CREATED) to fine and revoke the licenses of the regional gas distribution company for violation of requirements on the free provision of citizens of Ukraine gas meters.
At the end of December 2015, the head of the NCSEPUR Dmitry Vovk declared that is dissatisfied with the pace of installation of gas meters in Ukraine’s regional gas distribution companies. He also reminded that all household gas consumers shall be equipped with gas meters until July 1, 2016. Wolf also predicts an increase in «social» gas tariffs for the population by 53% (1,900 thousand) – up to 5,500 thousand UAH for 1 thousand cubic meters (including VAT) from 1 April 2016.
