The Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on Friday, November 18, approved the plan of measures on preparation and celebration of the Day of dignity and Freedom that is celebrated on November 21.
As the press service of the Ministry of culture of Ukraine, according to the approved plan, on 21 November in Kiev and other settlements of the country held a memorial, ceremonial and cultural events with the participation of representatives of Executive authorities, bodies of local self-government, people’s deputies, participants of the revolutionary events in Ukraine in 2004, in 2013-2014, members of the Antiterrorist operation in the East of Ukraine, representatives of public organizations, volunteer movements, youth and clergy.
During November — December will be held round tables, lectures and discussions on the mass shares of the civil protest in Ukraine that took place in November 2013 and February 2014. There will also be themed exhibitions, parties and other cultural events in honor of the participants of Revolution of Dignity and perpetuating the memory of Heroes of Heavenly hundred. Ukrainian Institute of national memory will prepare and present a multimedia informational-exhibition project «the Brave: our heroes».
In Kiev on the field where occurred the major events in 2013-2014, a system of information and navigation of booths «in some Places of the revolution of Dignity.»
«It is assumed to take measures on the immediate decision in the prescribed manner of issues related to the support of the National memorial complex of Heroes of the Heavenly hundred — the Museum of the revolution of Dignity» — said in the message.
Foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine will hold memorial events devoted to the feat of participants of revolution of Dignity and perpetuating the memory of Heroes of Heavenly hundred in particular with the participation of representatives of Ukrainian community abroad.
A public holiday, the Day of dignity and Freedom is celebrated annually in Ukraine on November 21 after two revolutions – the Orange revolution (2004) and the revolution of dignity (2013-2014).
