The Ukrainian foreign Ministry has revoked diplomatic and service passports 230 Ukrainian citizens, among which, in particular, the ex-officials of former President Viktor Yanukovych.
«For 2014-2015, the foreign Ministry informed the administration of state frontier service and the Ukrainian Bureau of Interpol on the invalidity of diplomatic and service passports of Ukraine the following citizens of Ukraine», — reported in a press-Department service.
So, the foreign Ministry has revoked diplomatic and service passports 230 citizens, in particular, Serhiy Arbuzov, Raisa Bogatyreva, Irina Akimova, Yuri Boyko, Alexander Vilkul, Mikhail Dobkin, Olesya dovgogo, David Zhvania, Vitaly Zakharchenko, Vladislav Kaskiv, Sergey Kivalov, Oleksandr Klymenko, Andriy Kliuyev, Yuriy Kolobov, Natalia Korolevska, Renat Kuzmin, Elena Lukash, Yevhen Marchuk, Andrew Lush, Lyubov Polezhay, Andrey Portnov, Eduard Stavisky, Dmitry Tabachnik, Leonid Chernovetsky, Nestor Shufrych, Zorian Shkiriak.
The foreign Ministry added that it had cancelled the passports «in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs 16 and 18 of the Regulations on diplomatic passport of Ukraine, as well as paragraphs 15 and 17 of the Regulations on the service passport of Ukraine, the approved decree the President of Ukraine on 12.05.2015, No. 264/2015».
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian Ministry of foreign Affairs announced the cancellation of the diplomatic passports of ex-Premier Mykola Azarov and 88 of the former Ukrainian high-ranking officials. The Department stressed that these persons have lost the reason for using a diplomatic passport and returned the passport to the MFA in the term required by law.
