The Eurovision organizers did not ask to cancel the «black list» of Russians — MIP

The Ukrainian side has denied the information spread by Russian media, on the abolition of the ban on the entry of individual Russians to participate in the Eurovision song contest in 2017. This was stated by Deputy head of the Ministry of information policy Emine dzhaparova in the comment DW.

According to her, the contest organizers, the European broadcasting Union, appealed to Ukraine with direct requirements on the admission of individual Russians to participate in the Eurovision song contest.

«Information about the alleged demand to the Ukrainian side to cancel the list of Russian performers banned from entering the territory of Ukraine, as a condition to host Eurovision — fake», — stated in the MIP.

This is the second denial in recent days. Earlier, the German Bild newspaper, citing a source informed about the ongoing negotiations to change the host city for the Eurovision song contest in 2017, from Kiev to Moscow. Argument in favor of the transfer mentioned the alleged lack of financial guarantees from Kiev.

In turn, the organizers of the contest have denied the existence of such plans with the transfer of the city where the competition will be conducted.
