The European Union expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine in the conflict with the National anti-corruption Bureau. This is stated in the statement of the European external action service, which is available on its official website.
«Public disclosure of the progress of anti-corruption investigations by the General Prosecutor significantly reduces the capacity of the National anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine to work effectively and undermines public confidence in the effective fight against corruption,» reads the release signed by the official representative of the foreign Ministry of the EU Maya Kocijancic.
The fight against corruption is a key element in the development of relations between the EU and Ukraine, she said.
«The Ukrainian government must intensify efforts to ensure the independence of, the operating capacity and efficiency of anti-corruption institutions. The work of these institutions must not be undermined, but strengthened,» stressed the EU.
On 30 November, the Prosecutor General’s office reported one of the employees of the Bureau on suspicion of provocation of a bribe the Deputy head of the State migration service Dina Emahool. On 5 December on suspicion was announced to the two agents.

The head of the NABOO Artem Sytnik said that the GPU is struggling for «survival of the corrupt system».
December 4, the U.S. state Department condemned the failure by the Prosecutor General of the special operation to NAB.
