The EU protesting farmers. Brussels was filled with dry milk

Dairy farmers from different countries of the European Union on 23 January organized a rally in the heart of Brussels, protesting against padeniia prices for their products. Dozens of activists sprayed tons of powdered milk over the headquarters of the European Union, which hosted the talks of the Ministers of agriculture, informs BBC Russian.

Farmers arrived in Brussels not only from Belgium but from Germany, France, the Netherlands and Lithuania. They are protesting against the fact that in recent years, overproduction of milk in the EU has led to falling prices for dairy products and to the ruin of many farms.

Earlier, the European Commission adopted a decision to gradually return to the market of stocks of milk powder.

Meanwhile, in Greece farmers began a nationwide campaign of protests, expressing outrage over the tax increase, gas prices and social security contributions. It is reported by Ekathimerini.

The protest began with dozens of tractors and pickups blocked part of the national highway Patras-Corinth on the North Peloponnese.

Farmers also took to the streets in the cities of Zakynthos, Chania, Veria, and other parts of Central Greece.

To protest the Greek farmers also joined by taxi drivers and accountants. According to statements by the trade unions, the action plan to be long.

We will remind, in 2016 in Spain, a symbol of protest of farmers was the severed head of Iberian wolves.
