The EU delegation to Ukraine called on the Parliament to adopt laws on decentralization without delay

It is reported that January 19, the Verkhovna Rada will consider three draft laws on decentralization ( 4772, 5520, 2489).

In a statement, the EU delegation notes that these laws are a prerequisite for the successful continuation of the decentralization reform, which, in turn, is important for further social and economic development of Ukraine.

«The adoption of these laws will be an additional incentive for foreign donors — including the EU — to continue to support the decentralization reform and provide all the necessary tools and experiences to share. The EU delegation to Ukraine calls on the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the bills without any subsequent edits, because procrastination can delay the process of implementing reforms. It is important that reform in this crucial area continued and was successfully completed without any controversy and delays,» the statement reads.
