In Ukraine launched a program of the EU, which will allow the European investment Bank to support small and medium enterprises.

It is reported that the initiative aims at strengthening economic development in the target countries, providing financial and technical support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The EIB group have joined forces with the Investment Fund of the neighbourhood (Neighbourhood Investment Facility), the EU, to provide a full package of documents designed to help companies in Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia.
It is reported that the company thereby have more opportunities related to the implementation of the free trade agreement with the EU, which provides for the gradual removal of barriers to trade and bringing the standards in line with EU requirements.
According to the European service of foreign Affairs, the EU contribution is part of a broader initiative of the European Commission «EU4Business», which brings together EU-funded programmes, to support the development of small and medium businesses and improving business environment in the Eastern partnership region.
«The private sector leads to growth and new employment opportunities in Ukraine. A new initiative, the EU should strengthen this segment of the national economy», — said Vice-President of the European investment Bank , the vazil hudák at the conference, which aims to inform different stakeholders in Ukraine on access to funding from the Bank of the EU.
Recall, Ukraine and the European investment Bank has signed 4 agreements on financial assistance in the amount of 600 million euros in the areas of higher education, energy, transport infrastructure and small and medium enterprises. So, Ukraine will join the EU program for small and medium businesses COSME is a leading EU program with a budget of 2.3 billion euros, aimed at creating favorable conditions for development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) implemented in the framework of the strategy «Europe 2020».
The programme envisages the participation of Ukraine in its components such as: improving the access of SMEs to markets; improving the regulatory conditions for the functioning of SMEs; the creation of a culture of doing business.
Note that the initiative «Strategy of reforms 2020», which the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko presented in September 2015, envisages that by 2020 Ukraine will join the top 20 countries in the ranking ease of doing business (at the time 112-e a place), the country’s credit rating at the level of the investment category will increase from CCC to BBB, and the global competitiveness index Ukraine will enter the top 40 countries.
