The European court of human rights has obliged Ukraine to pay 5 thousand euros for moral compensation 15 judges for the illegal dismissal of the Supreme Rada.
This is stated in the decision of the ECHR on January 19, reported Ukrainian news.
Only the ECHR considered the cases of 18 judges, which in different years (2010-2013) were dismissed by Parliament for breach of oath.
Among them former judge of the District administrative court of Kyiv former Deputy of the Prosecutor General (2014-2015) Oleg Bachun, who was dismissed from the post of judge in August 2010.
By results of consideration of claims, the court found that in respect of all of the applicants were violated clause 1 of article 6 of the Convention on human rights about the violation of the principles of independence and impartiality of the judiciary.
Also, the court found that in respect of all applicants had violated article 8 of the Convention in relation to respect for their private life.
The Ukraine for three months to pay 5 thousand euros moral compensation 15 judges: Vladimir, Korzachenko, Oleg Bachun, Lyudmila Stasovski, Peter Kovzel, Cyril Carmosino, Lilies Vasin, Igor Baranenko Igor Bondarenko, Nina Babich, Oleksandr Rozdobudko, Lydia lathe, Alexander Skinder, Alexander, Volvenko, Gennady Neminuschiy and Natalia Serena.
11 the applicants the court ordered Ukraine to pay 11 thousand euros in respect of costs and expenses incurred in the proceedings in court.
In addition, the judge Lilies Vasin Ukraine should pay 8 thousand euros financial compensation.
We will remind, Ukraine lodged with the European court of human rights five claims against the Russian Federation. The ECHR has extended the deadline for the submission of explanations of Russia’s claims concerning the annexation of Crimea and aggression in the Donbas until 31 December 2016.
On December 23 first Deputy Minister of justice of Ukraine Natalia Sevostianova said that Ukraine continues preparation of the sixth lawsuit against Russia in the European court of human rights concerning the events in the Donbas and in the Crimea in 2015-2016, the complaint will be filed early next year.
