About 50 thousand euros of Dutch taxpayers were provided as a grant to a private company which plans to produce toilet paper with calls to vote against the referendum on the Association Agreement with Ukraine. About it reports the edition z24.
The company with name Raspoetin BV is one of 72 organizations and individuals, to whom the Commission for the referendum has provided grants from the General Fund to 2 million euros.
Is this amount, the company Raspoetin BV was allocated 47 973 euros on «manufacturing, transportation and distribution of toilet paper with printed on it the arguments against the Association and disadvantages of Ukraine’s accession to the EU.»
Raspoetin BV was established in 2012, its owner Ruben Marsman said that it was a «concerned citizen» and uses the opportunity to be heard.
«Usually you get to vote every 4 years. Now we have the opportunity to be heard in between elections. This is quite a unique opportunity for the Netherlands,» he said.
It is planned that 100 will be printed thousands of rolls of toilet paper, which will be distributed in stores.
«But a certain part, we will send to influential institutes of the Netherlands,» said Marsman.
As noted, 50 thousand euros is the maximum amount of grant that allocates the Commission for the referendum. Just sent 180 applications, 72 applicants were allocated funding.
Within the campaign Commission for the referendum must allocate 700 thousand Euro supporters and opponents of the Association agreement with Ukraine. Another 600 thousand will be given to those who support the neutral position.
Previously it was also reported that in the Netherlands are planning to make a series about corruption communications of the European Commission with the Ukrainians. Also Europeans have twice tried to scare the fake terrorists from the regiment «Azov».
Ukrainian volunteers took off for residents of the Netherlands a video in which he refuted the false key points of Russian propaganda and urged residents of the country in the referendum to support the Association of Ukraine and the European Union.
Note, the Russian propaganda machine is directly and indirectly trying to discredit the image of Ukraine in Europe, to disrupt its current Western geopolitical choice.
Dutch MPs from the party D-66 has made a request to the foreign Ministry of the Netherlands to clarify whether there is any indication of Russia’s influence on the forthcoming referendum.
6 April 2016 in the Netherlands will take place the Advisory referendum on the Association Agreement EU — Ukraine. The vote is taken on the question: «are You «for» or «against» the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU?» The referendum was initiated by a group GeenPeil.
The results of the referendum were consultative in nature and not binding on the government. In addition, the turnout should be at least 30% to have the referendum considered valid.
Currently the Association Agreement already ratified by both houses of the Parliament of the Netherlands. However, according to the law, which came into force in the country on 1 July, virtually any parliamentarians voted for the document can be submitted to a referendum, if it is collected 300 thousand signatures.
