The court upheld the ruling of the Matios on the classification of declarations of prosecutors

The district administrative court of Kyiv on December 27 upheld the decision of the chief military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios on the classification of declarations of the prosecutors, reported the press service of the court.

«This decision was taken because the court has not established infringements of the requirements of current legislation under the adoption Anatoly Matios appropriate decisions, aimed at the closure of information about the property status of officials of the military Prosecutor’s office for their safety and that of their families», – noted in press service.

The claim to the chief military Prosecutor and the National Agency for prevention of corruption (NACP), in which the anti-corruption action Center asked to recognize the decision illegal and to cancel, was not satisfied.

April 14, on the basis of the decision Matios site NACP was removed hundreds of declarations that belonged to the employees of the Prosecutor General and the military Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine.

The anti-corruption action center appealed against the decision Matios and the decision of the NACP.

October 24, the District administrative court denied the CPC the claim on disclosure of the declarations of the Chairman and officers of the security Service of Ukraine.

The introduction of electronic Declaration was one of the requirements of the European Union to implement visa-free regime with Ukraine. For inaccurate information in the declarations, the official may be fined in an amount of 17 to 51 thousand UAH, or sentenced to two years imprisonment.
