The court refused to satisfy the claim of the son of Yanukovych, NBU

The Pechersky district court of Kiev on 14 November, dismissed the claims of the son of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych Alexander to the National Bank of Ukraine for damages in the amount of UAH 1.6 billion. This was reported by the press service of the NBU.

According to court documents, Alexander Yanukovych in August 2017, appealed to the national Bank requirements for damages in connection with the withdrawal from the market of PJSC «Ukrainian Bank of development», the shareholder of which he is.

By results of consideration of the case the court came to the conclusion about the absence of grounds for satisfaction of the claim.

27 Nov 2014 the national Bank of Ukraine carried the «all-Ukrainian development Bank» insolvent. In March 2015, the Antimonopoly Committee allowed the sale of 50% of the shares of the company «Acasian».

The Deposit guarantee Fund of individuals ‘ deposits in December 2015, has started the procedure of liquidation of insolvent «all-Ukrainian development Bank».

October 14, 2015 Alexander Yanukovych filed a lawsuit in the European court of human rights after his Bank was declared insolvent. As a result, the son of the former President lost the right of ownership of 100% of the shares.

In January 2016, the Supreme administrative court of Ukraine confirmed the lawfulness of the adoption of the NBU resolution on the attribution of «all-Ukrainian development Bank» in the category of the insolvent.

From 19 December 2016 Pechersky regional court of Kiev began to make arrests of individuals in the «all-Ukrainian development Bank». In particular, from the accounts of Valeria Esaulkova, Alexander Kostrova and Novel, Emelina, who worked in a Bank.
