The court of Spain signed a warrant for the arrest Pokdemon

The court of Spain had issued a decree on detention ex-the head of Catalonia Carles Pokdemon and four of his associates who are now in Belgium. It is reported by Spanish newspaper El Pais.

Because of their failure to appear in court, Belgium had sent such an order.

The arrest warrant was signed by judge Carmen Lamela.

Today, attorney Pokdemon stated that the Spanish court issued a warrant for his arrest. However, the official statements of the court were not.

November 2, Spain’s national court decided to detain eight members of the ousted government of Catalonia. Putteman at a hearing in Madrid has not arrived.

On 27 October, the Catalan Parliament adopted a resolution which declares independence from Spain.

In response, the Spanish Senate has allowed the government to introduce in Catalonia direct rule. Senators voted for the activation of article 155 of the Constitution, which allows to take enforcement action for the implementation of Catalonia to its constitutional obligations.

Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy announced that the Catalan Parliament dissolved, new elections are scheduled for December 21. He also terminated the powers of the Catalan government and its head Pokdemon.

28 Oct Madrid deprived Catalonia autonomy and took responsibility for the management of the region. The head of Catalonia, the Spanish authorities appointed the Deputy Chairman of the government of the country Saens Soraya de Santamaría.

Pujdeme 28 Oct said that do not agree with the decision of the authorities of Madrid to send him into retirement, and called for «democratic opposition». He went to Belgium, where he said that the Spanish court has no grounds for accusations of members of his Cabinet in a coup attempt, and added that he will stay in Brussels until then, until it receives guarantees «a fair trial».

The government of Catalonia declared that October 1 is the referendum, the secession of the region from Spain supported 90,18% of participants of plebiscite. Voter turnout was 43%. In clashes with security forces who blocked part of polling stations were affected 893 people.
