The court in the case Shtepa was moved to January 11 because of the absence of judges

Leninsky district court of Kharkiv has postponed the hearing on the case of the former mayor of Slavyansk, Donetsk region Neli Stay to 14.00 on 11 January because of the absence of two members of the jury. This was reported by «UKRINFORM» with reference to the protection Shtepa.

According to the lawyer Dmitry Marchenko, one of the judges is sick, and the second is busy in another trial.

Marchenko said that awaiting trial in the hall were up to 30 activists of the «National body» posters «Shtepa, on the bench!». Immediately after the announcement of the postponement of the meeting all the activists dispersed.

Another lawyer, Alexander Shadrin, said that the ex-mayor of Slavyansk received death threats. He saw to it that the police have contributed information about threats in the Unified register of pre-judicial investigations.

Shtepa detained July 11, 2014. In early October of the same year, she was declared a suspect under article «encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine» and «creation of terrorist group or organization» for actions during the capture of the militants Slavyansk Igor Girkin (strelkov).

28 Sep Shtepa was hospitalized from the courtroom with high pressure and suspicion on a hypertensive crisis.

October 4, the lawyer stressed that the ex-mayor of Slavyansk was discharged from the hospital and is undergoing treatment at home.
