The court arrested the head of the Kemerovo state construction in case of a fire in TTS «the Winter cherry»

The Central district court of Kemerovo (Russia) March 31, arrested the head of city inspection of the state construction Tanzilia Komkova on charges of abuse of office, reports «Interfax».

According to the judge Inna Mikhailenko, Komkova remanded in custody until may 25.

The clerk is charged with part 3 of article 285 of the criminal code (abuse of power). According to investigators, she did not forbid the exploitation of the illegally constructed building trade and entertainment complex «Winter cherry».

The representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia said that Komkova a few days after the fire, flew to Moscow to relax with a friend. According to investigators, she was trying to escape. The clerk, in turn, said not hidden, but Moscow flew to see a doctor. She stated that she had a nervous breakdown, she «had gone through the whole city.»

On March 31 the court was also arrested for two months Director General of JSC «kemerovskijj konditerskijj Kombinat» Yulia Bogdanova.

Fire in shopping Mall in Kemerovo took place on 25 March. According to the statement of local authorities, the fire started in a children’s trampoline room. According to the Ministry of emergency situations of the Russian Federation, the accident killed 64 people. According to relatives, the victim of the tragedy was 41 children.

On March 27 Russia’s Investigative Committee filed charges against five detainees in the case about the fire: administering the «Winter cherry» Hope Sedenak, technical Director of TTS Georgy Sobolev, head of the company that developed the fire alarm, Igor, Polozenko and his subordinate, Alexander Nikitin, and also the guard, who could disable the warning system Sergey Antoshina.

Following the incident Russia’s Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under article 109, 219 and 238 (causing death by negligence; violation of requirements of fire security, entailed on imprudence death of two and more persons providing services not meeting safety requirements) of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation.
