The Council requests lead to disciplinary action to apply to 38 Russian television stations

The national Council on television and radio asks the Council to apply sanctions to 38 legal entities of the Russian Federation.

This is stated on the website of the national Council.

«The decision to ensure information security and protect territorial integrity of Ukraine adopted at the meeting of 18 February,» the statement said.

The list includes Federal Russian channels, as well as the channels registered by Roskomnadzor on the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, and those who work in the occupied areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

Among them are such legal entities as: «First channel. World network», «NTV», «TV Media Sebastopol», «Crimean information Agency», «new Russia TV», «Stronghold» and the like.

Recall, 11 February the national Council withdrew from the list of foreign programs another 15 Russian TV channels. The main reason for removal of these channels from the list of foreign programs has become the violations of legislation on national security and of the legislation on advertising.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has banned the State cinema Agency (Goskino) to carry out state registration and issue the rolling certificate to movies, parties which are included in the list of persons threatening national security (the security service of Ukraine, published by the Ministry of culture).
