The Central intelligence Agency (CIA), the United States still believe that Russia interfered in the elections of the President of the United States, said the representative of the Department to the newspaper The Hill.

According to the interlocutor, the Director of the CIA Mike Pompeo «supports and has always supported» the findings of the intelligence community, published in January 2017 under the title «Assessment of Russian activities and intentions in the last election in the United States.»

«Assessment of intelligence about the Russian intervention in the elections has not changed», – said the representative of the CIA.

On 11 November the President of the United States Donald trump after meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he believes his assurances that Russia does not interfere in the American elections.

On 10 December, the CIA concluded that Russia interfered in the U.S. presidential election to help the Republican candidate Donald Trump to win over the representative of the Democratic party Hillary Clinton. The speaker of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, has called such allegations «obscene».
