Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that the government appealed to the President and to the Verkhovna Rada that they have nominated candidates in the competitive Commission on election of the Director of the State Bureau of investigation.
He said this on Wednesday, 10th January, at the meeting of the joint Board of the Ministry of internal Affairs and the Ministry of justice on the theme: «From new police to new of justice and safety of citizens», transfers UNIAN.
«The government appealed to the President and to the Verkhovna Rada to the President and the Verkhovna Rada, presented their candidates to the competition Commission for election Director of the State Bureau of investigation», — said Yatsenyuk.
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada on 12 November 2015 adopted a law establishing a State Bureau of investigation. The President signed the law on 14 January 2016.
The law specifies that the Director of the State Bureau of investigation shall be appointed by the President upon the recommendation of the Prime Minister, which one to make based on the decision of the tender Committee.
The competitive Commission on election of Director of the Bureau consists of three people, defined by the President of Ukraine; three people identified the Verkhovna Rada on representation of the relevant Committee of the Parliament; three people identified by the Cabinet.
On February 3 the Verkhovna Rada Committee on legislative support of law enforcement has determined the candidacy of three members of Parliament the Commission on the competition for the position of Director of the State Bureau of investigation.
Thus, in the composition of the competition Commission supported the candidacy of the first President of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on legislative support of law enforcement Mykola Palamarchuk and Committee member Victor King and Yevhen Deydey.
