If Hungary is going to block the initiative for rapprochement of Ukraine with the European Union, Ukraine ready to mirror the measures, said the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), MP from the bloc of Petro Poroshenko Volodymyr Ariev in the comment to Agency «Interfax-Ukraine».
«We as neighbors interacted with them. If they don’t want to interact in a neighborly way, for example, the Council of Europe, the number of Ukrainian delegates to three times the amount of Hungarian, and we can influence the final decision in Hungary as well. If they resort to blackmail, not to quiet negotiations, is not a reliable partnership,» said the Ariev.
According to him, the desire of Budapest to block the rapprochement between the EU and Ukraine makes Hungary an unreliable partner, but Ukraine has the appropriate leverage. Aryev added that the growth of nationalist sentiment in Hungary has long been concerned about the EU, which has also the image of this country in the European Union.
«What does Hungary, is blackmail, so in this case we act as mirror relative to Hungary, if they do this to us», – said the MP.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE also reminded before to conduct a political debate on the subject of the law «On education», should await the conclusions of the Venice Commission in its language article.

Starting with the basic education we provide training in the Ukrainian language», – said the Minister of education and science, Liliya Hrynevych.
