The armed forces General staff gave the go-ahead for 3G in Zaporizhia

In Zaporozhye – the outsider in the coverage of the mobile network of the third generation (3G) in Ukraine — will soon be able to introduce high-speed mobile Internet, since the General staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine has allowed the use of 3G base stations in the regional center.

As the Executive Director of the Ukrainian state centre of radio frequencies (UCRF ) Vadim Gulko on his page on Facebook, «today UCRF received the approval of the General staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine on the use of 3G base stations in Kiev.»

«We will do everything possible to tomorrow, the mobile operators were able to obtain the necessary insights and solutions for the development of their networks in Zaporozhye — the city of the free Cossacks» — said Gulko.

To this day the residents and guests of Zaporizhia was available mobile Internet in 2G, since the launch of 3G services in the regional center requires a special permit of the General staff of the armed forces.

Recall that last summer the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the decree about the beginning of works on introduction of 4G technology in Ukraine.
