The appeal of the GPU on the measure Saakashvili will be considered on December 22

The appeal of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine on the refusal of the Pechersk district court of Kiev to apply to the former President of Georgia, the leader of the party «movement novih forces,» Saakashvili measure in the form of house arrest on 22 December at 11.15. The case will be referred to a panel of judges consisting of Oleg Prisyazhnyuk (presiding), Dennis Masenko and Igor Palenica.

On the evening of 8 December, Saakashvili in Kiev detained and placed in temporary detention. He is suspected of receiving from Russia nearly $500 thousand in funding meetings to overthrow the Ukrainian government.

GPU released a video with excerpts of audio recordings of telephone conversations that took place, according to investigators, between Saakashvili, fluent Ukrainian businessman Sergei Kurchenko, a representative Kurchenko, who is not named, and the man around Saakashvili Severina Dangadze.

The Prosecutor demanded for the policy measure in the form of house arrest wearing an electronic bracelet. December 11, Pechersky district court of Kiev dismissed the charges and released Saakashvili in court.

On 18 December, the PGO said that Saakashvili broke carrying out investigative actions, in particular, recording of voice patterns policy for phonoscopic examination.

According to the lawyer of the politician, Saakashvili has refused to testify in the Prosecutor General’s office, as it requires to transfer his case to the security Service of Ukraine.
