The AMCU has fined the «Kyivstar» on 21 million UAH for cheating with per-second billing

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine adopted a decision to impose a fine in the amount of 21 million 307,6 thousand UAH for the mobile operator «Kyivstar» in the case of unfair competition. This was reported in the Facebook head of AMKU Yury Terentyev.

«The operator in their communication about pricing terms used three types of claims, two of which it was noted that billing is «per second». In fact this statement is false – the cost of the full minutes of the conversation were written off in the first second of conversation,» he said.

According to Terentyev, we are talking about the violation of article 15-1 of the law «On protection from unfair competition» (information dissemination, misleading).

Chapter of the AMC also recalled that on 18 September a decision on a similar issue was made in respect of LLC «Leisel» and imposed a fine of 19,467 million.
