Sytnik: the Investigation against the Holodnitsky started because of the case Trukhanov

Investigation concerning the head of the Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office (SAP) Nazar of Golodnitsky was initiated after confirming the information on preventing the leadership of the Department to investigate the case against the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov. About it in interview to the edition ZN.UA said the head of the National anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Sytnyk.

According to him, the elected Holodnenkim line of conduct for a long time impacted negatively on the efficiency of investigations of NABOO and future court term the number of cases.

«We periodically come information about some of the strange and inexplicable actions of the head of the SAP and private prosecutors. The more we investigated, the more disturbing signals are received,» – said Sytnik.

He noted that while the NEB was not evidence, and gather them legally was not the actual ability. But not so long ago the Department got specific information that confirmed the suspicions against the Holodnitsky.

«In the case of theft in Odessa city hall. So, we got the information and understood that to allow the situation to drift is unacceptable. As it turned out, about the same time similar signals about the leader of the SAP and received by our colleagues from the Prosecutor General’s office in connection with which they were registered criminal proceedings», – said Sytnik.

Today Sytnik declared that wiretapping in the Cabinet of Holodnitsky recorded as he leaked information about impending searches and put pressure on officials.

First, the tapping of NABOO in the office of Golodnitsky reported «Ukrainian Pravda» on 21 March. Then the head of SAP said that it was a provocation, and assured that no one can force him to resign. In turn Sytnik, commenting on the situation, said that «journalists write something that, frankly, a fantasy novel just resting».

On March 24, the General Prosecutor of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko has informed that the audition of the head of the SAP was authorized by the court. On March 26 the head of the PGO said that law enforcement officers are studying the materials of listening of the Cabinet of Holodnitsky.

March 28 the source of the «Ukrainian news» in GPU reported that the Holodnitsky can be arrested. Press Secretary of the Prosecutor General Larisa Sargan called it «rumors, which makes no sense to comment on.»

March 29 Sytnik confirmed that the NAB is conducting an investigation in respect of Golodnitsky, noting that his Department cooperates with the General Prosecutor’s office.

Today, the PGO said that Holodnitsky did not come for questioning, noting that he had to take away the voice. Lutsenko asked qualification and disciplinary Commission to consider the removal of the head of the SAP from the post.

Trukhanov was elected mayor of Odessa in may 2014. According to investigators, he was involved in a scheme to damage the local budget of Odessa.
