Faced with the aggression of Russia, the Swedish government decided to reopen the units and to place on the island of Gotland anti-ship missiles during the cold war, which had previously been in storage at the museums.

«Faced with a new aggression of Russia, Sweden takes mothballed missile launchers during the cold war with storage in museums, to strengthen the defense on their front line in the Baltic sea», — stated in the message.

On the island of Gotland will be sent ground installation Kustrobotbatteri 90 (1987), which was decommissioned in 2000.

Earlier, on November 14, the Supreme Commander of Sweden gave the order permanent bases and 150 soldiers on the island of Gotland.

Recall that last spring the Swedish government has decided to place on a permanent basis on the island of Gotland in the Baltic sea military base, which was closed 10 years ago.
