Sweden plans to deport up to 80 thousand migrants

Swedish authorities intend to deport nearly 80 thousand migrants arrived in the country in 2015 and their request for asylum was rejected. About it as reports the edition Dagens Industri, said the interior Minister of Sweden Anders Ygeman, reports NEWSru.com.

According to the Minister, it is about 60 thousand people, but this number could rise to 80 thousand. As the BBC reported, according to the Minister, for deportation will be chartered from Charter flights, and this process will take several years.

In 2015 in Sweden, with a population of 9.8 million people, arrived about 163 thousand refugees, including more than 35 thousand teenagers without their parents, mostly from Afghanistan. Only 20% of migrants were documents. According to experts, young asylum seekers often hide their age, as minors easier to get a residence permit in the Kingdom, reports TASS.

To date, it was considered 58 800 petitions, 55% of them were approved.

In early January, Sweden introduced a temporary verification of documents at the border with Denmark. Meanwhile, some members of the government are concerned that a large influx of migrants can pose a threat to national security and public order.
