Stoltenberg wants to intensify dialogue with Russia next year

NATO probably will intensify the dialogue with Russia in the next year. About it in interview to Agency dpa said Secretary General of the block Jens Stoltenberg.

Stoltenberg expects that in 2018 between the parties will be more meetings, and direct military channels of communication will be used more often. The head of the Alliance said that the intensification of political dialogue with Russia, support the entire unit.

NATO Secretary General stressed the importance of maintaining open channels of communication with Moscow, adding that the bloc does not want a new cold war or arms race.

While Stoltenberg noted that the dialogue with the Kremlin «hard».

The relations of the Kremlin and NATO has become more complicated after Russia’s annexation of Crimea and the outbreak of hostilities in the East of Ukraine.
