Slovakia supports the introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens by the EU.

On 2 February 2016, said Vice Prime Minister, Minister of foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav lajčák during the meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

As reported in the press service of the President of Ukraine, lajčák expressed support for the introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens by the EU.

He also noted the readiness of his country to share experience with Ukraine on the path of European transformations, and to help Ukraine in this.

Recall that Slovakia is one of the leading European partners of Ukraine.

Well as Ukraine and the Slovak Republic have a common position on whether to block the European Commission’s construction of Russian gas pipeline «Nord stream — 2».
