SBU: some hostages the militants on eight «shot»

The head of the security service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak claims that according to intelligence held hostage by militants in some districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions are about 130 Ukrainians.

«The hostages each day the number changed. We monitor about 130 people,» he said today, on 9 February, reports «Interfax-Ukraine».

«I’m not going to reveal the secret, if you tell me what some of our hostages, which we later released on eight «shot», they were executed. The corresponding video was published,» said Hrytsak.

«So I don’t want to believe that representatives of «DNR/LNR» will be committed such acts (the shooting of hostages – ed.). Because, firstly, in a significant number of cases we even know about detention of our soldiers, have many testimonies of those who sat with them, for example, as they say, «the hut» (the former management of the SBU), or in other places, and for these things have to answer,» said Hrytsak.

According to him, the SBU has been conducting a number of criminal cases for similar cases.

«If we know that Motorola has shot one of our soldiers, then it’s gone «plus» to a criminal proceeding, conducted by the SBU about it,» said Hrytsak.

Earlier media wrote that the militants may resort to execution of the Ukrainian hostages. The representative of the President on settlement of the conflict in the East Irina Gerashchenko also said that militants threaten Ukrainian prisoner executions.

January 13 in Minsk the participants of the Trilateral contact group on settling the situation in Donbas agreed to free more than 50 prisoners on both sides.

However the occupiers block the release of prisoners on lists.
