«Savchenko’s law» temporarily unloaded jail, Deputy Minister of justice

After the entry into force of the so-called «law Savchenko» detention centres in Ukraine was unloaded, but now they again filled in the same way as before the introduction of this law, according to the Deputy Minister of justice of Ukraine Denis Chernyshov, writes Interfax-Ukraine.

«Of course, it is unloaded (jail – ed.) for a certain period, but at the moment I get soot so: filling detention centres to some extent the same as it was before the enactment of the «law Savchenko», — said Chernyshov in a course a press-conferences on Wednesday in Kiev.

He noted that this happens, in particular, because «in some cases, lawyers work to delay the finding under investigation» in detention centers.

Chernyshov said that by the end of 2016 under the so-called «law Savchenko» from places of deprivation of freedom I have been released approximately 7,5 thousand persons.

As reported, «Savchenko’s law» came into force on 24 December 2015, according to the document, every day of preliminary detention shall be read as a primary punishment. Under this act exempt, in particular, the former head of Lviv administrative court of appeal Igor Zvarych and former people’s Deputy of Ukraine Victor Lozinsky.

MP of the faction «popular front», member of the Committee on legislative support of law enforcement Anton Gerashchenko hopes that the Verkhovna Rada in February, the law was repealed, calling it a mistake and noting that it prematurely released the crooks and corrupt officials.

Itself Savchenko said that will protect your law, because it is correct.
