Sands on new sanctions against Russia: I would not use big phrases like the cold war

To discuss new sanctions against Russia should not use «loud words». This was stated today to journalists the press-Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov, reports RBC.

«I wouldn’t use big phrases like the cold war. We didn’t want our bilateral relations, which already are in a miserable situation, was exposed to great danger,» he said.

Peskov said that the Kremlin cause for concern discussions on the introduction of new US sanctions against Russia.

24 December, the head of Sberbank German Gref warned the United States against the introduction of large-scale sanctions against Russia. In his opinion, the situation may escalate so that the «cold war seem like child’s play».

The US has introduced several packages of sanctions against the Kremlin after the annexation of Crimea and the beginning of Russian aggression in the Donbass in the spring of 2014.
