The former head of the Odessa regional state administration, the former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili has confirmed the intention to return to Ukraine on September 10. He declared it on air of TV channel NewsOne, staying in Warsaw, August 30.
«I’m getting ready to return to Ukraine. In the next few days I’ll travel around the European countries. I’m flying to Copenhagen to the meeting of the Presidium of the European people’s party, where I will meet with European politicians. I do not exclude that also will fly to Brussels to meet with MEPs» – said the politician.
According to him, September 10, at 12.00 he wants to cross the Ukrainian border at the checkpoint «Krakovets».
The politician said that the Ukrainian government «is preparing three scenarios» in case of occurrence at the border.
«The first is not to let Saakashvili across the border, to take away his passport and deported back to Poland. Second – skip Saakashvili in Ukraine, but then stall under various pretexts, and to begin the process of extradition», — he said.

On July 26, when Saakashvili was in the USA, the State migration service of Ukraine reported that the President Petro Poroshenko issued a decree on the loss of Ukrainian citizenship Saakashvili because of false data, which he indicated with citizenship. August 16, Saakashvili said he will return to Ukraine on 10 September through a customs post «Krakovets».
«We will be a lot of journalists with us to be MPs, I want you to accompany Ukrainians who live in Poland,» he said.
