Saakashvili: I don’t need a Dutch visa

The leader of the «Movement novih forces,» Saakashvili said on air of the TV channel NewsOne that he does not need a Dutch visa, the receipt of which was reported by the media.

«I don’t need a Dutch visa… first, I was already in the West, at any moment could go in any European country. I have a suggestion on citizenship – not on visa and citizenship – from several European countries, at least the leading politicians,» – said the politician.

According to him, he has the automatic right to Dutch citizenship because his family is from the Netherlands.

«I have a job offer in America and also in several countries of Europe. So this problem I can’t get it – I can leave any time», – Saakashvili said.

He stressed that he had no «no full passport.»

«But again, any European country will let me go, and it for anybody not a secret. Therefore, it is not a question, will I be allowed there or will not allow,» – said the ex-President of Georgia.

Saakashvili said that he would fight «to be in Ukraine», as long as it is «physically possible.»

Today De Telegraaf, citing sources in the Ministry of security and justice of the Netherlands informed about the request of Saakashvili for a visa of the Netherlands. Policies supposedly issued the visa in the Embassy of the country in Kiev. Saakashvili explained the request for a visa to the need for family reunification.

Saakashvili’s wife Sandra Roelofs is a citizen of the Netherlands and Georgia, and their children have Dutch nationality. 20 December, she expressed hope that the upcoming holidays, her family will hold in the Netherlands.
