Russian hackers attacked the computer system of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Poland — media

The hacker group APT28 (Fancy Bears’) in December 2016 staged a cyber attack on computer system of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Poland, writes Rzeczpospolita.

The staff of the Ministry received emails with malicious software to steal data from computers. «The matter is complicated by the fact that the attack was carried out with the server of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the countries of Latin America,» — says the press service of the Ministry.

The cyber attack was averted, however, the publication with reference to sources reported that the websites of Polish agencies protected bad.

Informed Fancy Bears «(or whatever they are called
«cyberweld») acted against the Democratic party of the United States and the army of Ukraine.

If confirmed, this will be the first recent case of the deliberate actions of the Russian computer criminals against the governmental structures of the Republic of Poland.

Before that, it was repeatedly reported about the interference of hackers, the Russians in the elections in the United States and the European Union.

As for Ukraine, the Russians «put» servers of the Pension Fund, the state Treasury, the Ministry of transport, Ukrzaliznytsia, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Infrastructure and was left without light the Carpathian region.
