Russian businessman Polonsky has offered to build in the Crimea the «city of the third Millennium»

Russian businessman Sergei Polonsky, who plans to participate in presidential elections of the Russian Federation, considers the Crimea annexed by Russia as a place to build a «city of the third Millennium», where you can enter without a visa. He said this on 14 November at the presentation of his election program in Moscow, reported «Radio Liberty».

According to him, the city of the future will not belong to a particular country, and «all mankind».

At the press conference, Polonsky also called «release of all prisoners in nonviolent cases, to demolish part of the prisons and turn them into museums».

In may 2015, the businessman was deported from Cambodia, where he was hiding from the Russian authorities.

In July 2017 the Presnensky court of Moscow sentenced him to five years in prison for theft in especially large size and has released from punishment in connection with expiry of the Statute of limitations in a criminal case.

The Russian presidential election will be held on 18 March 2018. At the moment about the plans of the nomination said the TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak, journalist Catherine Gordon, the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Communist party leader Gennady Zyuganov.

According to RBC, acting President Vladimir Putin decided that he will run.

Russia annexed Crimea after the illegal referendum on 16 March 2014. The annexation of Crimea by Russia is not recognised by Ukraine and most countries of the world.
