Social standards in Ukraine to 2018 will rise. This broadcast «5 channel» on January 8, announced Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko.

«The level of social standards in Ukraine is unsatisfactory. And we all want to increased more actively and aggressively to pensions and salaries was more to the overall standard of living was much better and better. But on the other hand, we also generated the state budget not from the point of view of populist positions, and from the point of view of the realities of life. Today the GDP growth that we envisaged in 2018, entails the growth of social standards», – said the politician.

He noted that it is important that social standards have grown faster than inflation processes in Ukraine.

«Last year we had growth of real wages (this is minus the inflation rate) by about 20%. This is a huge figure. That is, in 2017, the wage growth at 20% ahead of inflation. In the state budget for the year 2018 provides for the growth of social standards. But as soon as we see that the economy is growing more vigorously, of course, additional funds will go to salaries, pensions and so forth,» – said Rozenko.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the state budget for 2018 in December 2017. The minimum wage has increased by 523 UAH and now is 3723 UAH per month, while the subsistence minimum increased to 1700 UAH. A living wage will grow during the year from July 1 it will be UAH 1777, and from December 1 – UAH 1853. From January 1 minimum pension is 1373 UAH by the end of the year will increase to UAH 1497.
