Relatives of those killed in the fire in Kemerovo complained the rescuers to the Prosecutor’s office

Residents of the Russian Kemerovo, wife of Igor Sabadash and Nadezhda Vostrikova, which in the Mall fire killed daughter, three grandchildren and daughter-in-law, filed in the city Prosecutor’s office against actions of emergency workers and the interior Ministry. This March 28 RBC reported.

In their statements they write that he was on the fourth floor, «Winter cherry» in a few minutes after 16.03 their daughter Alena called and said that the fire started and «they are locked in the cinema». According to them, on the floor were four firefighters who said that waiting for special equipment and «can’t go in there».

«I fell on my knees and started to ask: «Guys, save my children.» To which I replied calmly: «We can’t do anything to help you. We are waiting for squad» a», – told Nadezhda Vostrikova.

The last call from her daughter the woman arrived at 16.12 on speakerphone.

«Mom, I’m dying, I love you.» These were the last words spoken to my daughter», — reads the statement of Vostrikova.

Sabadash promised her daughter that would save her and asked «hold on and breathe».

«At 16.23 minutes the fire had not yet taken any action,» he recalls.

His wife says that the fire «slowly began to approach» approximately 16.40.

«I believe that the actions of emergency workers and police is untimely, incomplete action, inaction, led to the death of children», – summed up Sabadash.

Vostrikov believes that the firefighters showed «disregard for human life.»

Relatives of the victims told the newspaper that a similar statement to the Prosecutor’s office filed at least one family.

Fire in four-storey shopping centre, «Winter cherry» in Kemerovo took place on 25 March. According to the statement of local authorities, the fire started in a children’s trampoline room. According to the Ministry of emergency situations of the Russian Federation, the accident killed 64 people. According to relatives, the victim of the tragedy was 41 children.

Following the incident Russia’s Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under article 109, 219 and 238 (causing death by negligence; violation of requirements of fire security, entailed on imprudence death of two and more persons providing services not meeting safety requirements) of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation.

On 27 March, the prosecution has charged five detained: managing the «Winter cherry» Hope Sedenak, technical Director of TTS Georgy Sobolev, head of the company that developed the fire alarm, Igor, Polozenko and his subordinate, Alexander Nikitin, and also the guard, who could disable the warning system Sergey Antoshina.

One of the witnesses of the fire, animator and photographer named Eugene, says that the arsonist is «boy 12 years». Chapter Sledkoma of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin arson is considered unlikely.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the tragedy of criminal negligence and carelessness.
